What happened here?

So, somehow, I have managed to finish the Blood Song edit of everything that I have written (which is about 70% of the story). That was 79k in about 5 days. That has got to be the fastest I have ever managed to edit nearly an entire book. It feels wild to think of it. Now, granted, it was the entire book minus the climax, which I now have to write, but damn if that wasn’t impressive. And the edits weren’t easy for the most part, to be hones. I dictated most of it, and it was pretty dirty dictation, but it still went by so fast, I’m still in shock that I managed to finish the first pass edits.

Now, if only I could finish the first draft climax and the first edit of the climax, my life would be golden. But mark my words, finishing just the climax is gonna take me at least an entire month, if not more, considering that later in the month I have a bunch of social events (my niece’s baptism, my dad’s birthday, family visits, even going to pick up my car documents at the agency), so I’m not very optimistic that I’ll manage to finish Blood Song soon.

But still, this was pretty damn amazing, and it helped me to shift gears from SoulShattered to Starfallen very easily. I’m still super excited.
