Slow Progress
Today was the first day of new words.
To be honest I just did it because I was sick of sitting at my desk this morning at 5 am. I sit at the damn thing about 12 hours a day, sometimes more. So, instead I stayed in bed and dictated using my portable recorder. I got through two scenes that I feel came out much better than I thought they would. Also shorter than I thought they would. But it was fun. With all that editing and dictating from reading was getting too much. Too dull. Seeing new things happening before my eyes was much more exciting.
This was all for book 2 of Starfallen, which I need to finish desperately. I’m crossing my fingers that things will ease up at work soon so that I have more time to write. Right now, it’s hellish.
Also, I’ve been struck fully by the current mercury retrograde nostalgia and I remembered that generators existed. In fact, I remembered that this really dumb bishouned generator existed.
I had to try it.
What a ridiculous thing. I love it. And also, that was a bit too close to who I am. Except for the blonde hair and white eyes, the rest is a bit too close to home. That was weird.
This wasn’t the bishounen generator I used to play with back before I went to college, but it was fun anyway, and I had a good laugh with it.
Sometimes, nostalgia just makes you smile like that.
